Hare Krishna Prabhuji,

PAMHO

I do not want to miss an opportunity to glorify mother Cow. I have been lucky serving ISKCON Project from past 8years. Just 5-6 years ago, when our Pune New Temple Project started, there were many marathons for fund raising; even I extended my seva neglecting my health.. Late nights, irregular eating times, not drinking water throughout the day, as a result I slowly started getting skin infections. It first developed on back of my neck. There was severe itching, later it started appearing on my hands as well.

As usual, I approached a skin specialist (Allopathy) doctor experimented with different medicines but with no proper cure. Instead it created more body heat which resulted into pimples on my face.  After 3-4 months I realised that this Doctor is experimenting different medicines on me. Question: Incase if we follow all instructions as per Vedic scriptures (for e.g. about Ghruta, our eating habits, sleeping habits etc) we will not be able to preach because of time constraint. Srila Prabhupada had said that ours is a preaching movement. Prabhupada could have comfortably stayed in vrindavan living his life according to scriptures, but he sacrificed his life just to preach. I would like to know your suggestions in general for devotees as of now?

Answer: Where there is will there is a way. I don’t see any difficulty in living according to Vedic style and preaching. I am following it and preaching as well. And there are at least few other devotees in Mumbai who have busy schedule are following it and are engaged in preaching as well. Read the rest of this entry »

Hare Krsna!

I received this article written by Devinder Sharma via an email sent by a friend. I thought it was some thing worth reading.

Holy Cows — Acclaimed abroad, despised at home

A couple of days back, newspaper in Punjab reported that an American company — World Wide Sires Ltd — is planning to provide high-quality semen to dairy farmers. Some days back, I had heard that the Kerala Minister for Animal Husbandry was thinking of importing some improved cattle breeds from Denmark for cross-breeding with the local cows.

I find this shocking. Read the rest of this entry »

Hare Krishna Prabhuji,

I was very much impressed by the noble cause of “Cow Protection” you have undertaken (in a most practical way) to uplift the human society from living a very un-regulated/un-healthy life style by educating them with Vedic Life style of complete bliss. Read the rest of this entry »
